The ailing economy could get a major boost if the proposed $850 billion dollars stimulus package is approved by Congress and the Senate. According to the Associated Press, the House and Senate has drafted a proposal and are working diligently to have it ready for President-elect Barack Obama's signature by mid February or there about. The proposed plan includes some 550 billion in immediate job creation while sustaining jobs and some 275 billion in tax cuts. Some of sectors that would benefit immediately from the plan include education, health care and an expanded and efficient road network program. This stimulus package cannot be signed into law fast enough. We would prefer the proposal passed unanimously by the house, and be on his desk ready for him to sign come Wednesday January 21,2009.
